Which U.S. State Has the Most Gun Laws?

Did you know that there are fifty different types of gun policies and legislation that states across the country have adopted to increase gun safety? Sightmark.com, which sells attachments and accessories for rifles, created a chart that ranks all of the states based on how strict their gun laws are. The higher the number of gun policies that the state has already passed, the stricter the state’s gun laws are considered to be. The chart starts with a U.S. map colorized to quickly show which states are the strictest and which are more lenient. The red and blue color scheme that was used is reminiscent of the political divide between red and blue states when it comes to guns. The states with more gun laws are generally the more liberal states, which are notated with shades of blue on the map. The states that are more lenient on gun laws tend to be more conservative and are notated in shades of red.
