It’s estimated that more than 50 billion copies of checkers have been sold since the game was introduced in 3000 B.C.E. Coming in third is Monopoly, a classic that many have grown up playing. This real estate game, which is inspired by the streets of Atlantic City, has sold 275 million+ units since it came out in 1935. It’s well-known for its iconic game pieces like the top hat, thimble, and race car.
