Brewery tours are a great way to discover the rich history of the surrounding area and discover new unique tasting beers. This map from the Wyoming LLC Attorney shows the the oldest businesses in every country around the world and gave me a great idea for a brew tour bucket list. First up would have to be a stop at Sean’s Bar in Ireland. Opened in the year 900 Sean’s bar is the 5th oldest business listed here and it is also featured in the Guinness Book of World Records as Ireland’s Oldest Pub. Although it’s not technically a brewery, Sean’s bar has recently become famous for distilling its own whiskey and who doesn’t want to visit a bar that began in the middle ages! Next would be #7 on the map, the Affligem Brewery of Belgium that opened in 1074. I would also want to visit #16 on the list, the Brand Brewery which began in 1340, to taste the oldest craft beer in the Netherlands, a beer named the Brand Imperator. There are many other cool companies on this list of 165 that aren’t breweries but the 18 different oldest breweries, wineries and distilleries on this map would make for an epic trip. Maybe a stop to China to visit its oldest business still in operation, Ma Yu Ching’s Bucket Chicken House to go with all the beer.
