This Chart Shows Which Countries Provide the Most Humanitarian Aid Around the World

The latest visualization circling the Internet to turn our heads comes to us from Wristband.com. The map and Sankey-style visualizations reveal which countries provide the most foreign aid and which countries receive the most of that aid. The 30 Development Assistance Committee (DAC) member countries focus specifically on humanitarian aid and aid relating to economic development. It is important to note that they do not deal in military aid or aid relating to arms or wartime support. That’s a whole other can of worms.

In an age when social media is filled with jokes and memes about World War III breaking out at any moment, it’s good to take a moment to remember what’s truly important and that there is good out there. We’re all in this together so let’s give back in 2020: volunteer your time, donate second-hand items, do your part to protect the environment, and lend a helping hand to your neighbors!
