Pepsi, once known as Pepsi-Cola, is one of the most renowned and well-known brands. Pepsi, and its parent company, PepsiCo, has a long and storied history.
It was founded in 1898 by a pharmacist. The company gained popularity; however, following World War 1, once sugar rationing took effect, the brand declared bankruptcy in 1923. In 1931, PepsiCo re-established itself after Wall Street brokers bought the recipe. In 1965, the company changed its official name to PepsiCo. Lastly, in 1970, it moved to New York, where the company’s headquarters are still located.
When talking about PepsiCo, the first things that come to our mind are its famous brands, which include Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, and Mug Root Beer.
