Lightsabers are as important to the Star Wars universe as peanut butter is to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’m being facetious, but the legendary Jedi weapon has been a favorite among Star Wars fans ever since A New Hope premiered in 1977. Since then, the universe has spawned prequels, sequels, and spinoffs galore. Along with this new material has come a number of new iconic and memorable lightsabers including Rey’s yellow lightsaber and the infamous Darksaber.
