8 Video Games Loaded With Toilet Humor to Play on April Fools’ Day

Plenty of video games are infused with clever humor and well-crafted jokes. This April Fools’ Day, however, let’s give some flowers to the games that went another route and doubled down on trying to gross out the player. Here are eight games that take full advantage of pee, poop, and farts.

1. Ōkami (PlayStation 2, 2006)

For a game about a god trying to save the world from evil, Ōkami is surprisingly crass at times. The companion, Issun, referring to NPCs with nicknames like “Busty Babe,” is notable, but the game also features some toilet humor of its own. There is a technique Amaterasu can learn where she urinates on enemies to collect Demon Fangs, a valuable currency that can only be used to buy rare items from the emperor.

2. Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee (PlayStation, 1997)

In the early hours of playing Oddworld for the first time, it may seem…odd that there’s a button dedicated to farting. Once you reach the Mudokon village and start communicating in their language of chants and whistles, you learn that it’s actually important to the gameplay. Still, the farts are funny both in and out of context, considering the Mudokons giggle after doing it.

3. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii, 2008)

Another game that features farting is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Wario was introduced as a playable character in this installment, and he has the ability to eat items, including his own motorcycle. The more Wario eats, and the more time passes, the stronger his “Wario Waft” becomes. There’s nothing quite like blasting multiple opponents off-screen with a massive fart blast.

4. Primal Rage (Multi-Platform, 1994)

Even fouler than Wario is Chaos in Primal Rage. This ape can not only launch his own fart clouds at enemies, but he can also vomit on them. In his match-ending fatality, he sprays his acidic urine on his opponent until all their skin burns off.

5. South Park (Nintendo 64, 1998)

These days, when someone references “the South Park game,” they usually mean The Stick of Truth or The Fractured but Whole. Back in 1999, the only South Park game we had was a poorly reviewed first-person shooter using the Turok engine. Like Turok, each weapon had both a primary and an alternate fire mode. The alternate fire for the default snowball weapon was a pee-soaked snowball. Later in the game, you also unlocked Terrance & Phillip dolls that could be used as fart grenades.

6. Postal 2 (PC, 2003)

Postal 2 is one of the most over-the-top games ever developed for a number of reasons, one of which is the abundance of urine. The game gives you the option of peeing whenever, wherever. You can pee on people until they vomit. You can even get an STD in the game, making the urine toxic so enemies start vomiting quicker. There’s also a “Visit Dad” mission where you have to pee on your father’s grave.

7. Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure (SEGA Genesis, 1994)

The early ‘90s were the peak era for gross-out humor. With Nickelodeon popularizing Ren & Stimpy and dousing all their live-action stars and celebrity guests in slime, it was only a matter of time before video games started riding the same wave. As the title suggests, Boogerman is a platformer where the title character defeats enemies by flicking his boogers at them. Instead of punching and kicking, Boogerman would burp and fart. While it was a classic for many gamers, the creators tried to Kickstart a sequel in 2013, but it never reached its funding goal.

8. Conker’s Bad Fur Day (Nintendo 64, 2001)

Conker’s Bad Fur Day might be the ultimate game for fans of toilet humor. Between a boss named The Great Mighty Poo that you defeat by throwing toilet paper in his mouth, fire imps that you can only defeat by urinating on them, and cows that you need to feed until they empty their bowels, this unique late-era N64 title is a blast. The fact that my friends and I played the multiplayer modes of this instead of Mario Party is an unfortunate sign of the immature men we’d become.
