Nicolas Cage has transcended the status of mere mortal. No longer is he just a man, nor a famous Academy Award-winning actor for that matter: he’s a meme. It’s in this meme that he will surely live on forever. Once one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors, he’s been plagued with financial problems stemming from ridiculous impulse purchases and tax woes that have left him under a sizable mountain of debt. In order to combat this debt, it seems like good ol’ Nic Cage has been signing off on each and every script that has come his way for the past two decades. Because of this, he’s been in some real stinkers… and I mean some serious grade-A piles of dog shit. Take the 2006 remake of The Wicker Man for example. With a laughable 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s difficult to wrap your head around what he was thinking. On the other hand, if he never starred in that film, the Internet wouldn’t have gems like this:
